Srinagar July 10 (KNO) : Congress today emphasized the Governor’s Administration to revive Gulshan Abad Water Supply Scheme (Rajpora) Pulwama, which has failed after it’s completion, as a result, people of entire Rajpora and other adjacent areas were left without supply of drinking water.

In a Statement the District Congress Committee (DCC) President Pulwama Fayaz Ahmad Dar has expressed serious concern over the lack of water supply citing the reason as complete failure of Gulshan Abad Water Supply Scheme Rajpora, on which crores of Rupees have been spent, ironically the WSS Scheme failed miserably.

He said effective measures should have been taken to revive this WSS Scheme, but nothing has been done so far on this count, as a result, people continue to suffer due to negligent attitude of the previous PDP BJP Govt.

He said the people supposed to get benefitted through the WSS Scheme so many times appealed the previous Govt for revival of the Scheme, so that they could get the water they deserved, but their appeals have fallen in deaf ears, he added and said a committee of experts be constituted to look into the revival process of Gulshan Abad WSS.

Dar emphasized the Governor’s Administration to look into the genuine demand of people and ensure that this Water Supply scheme is restored in the larger interest of local population of Rajpora and other adjacent areas in District Pulwama.
